About Us

Athens Wholesale Nursery is a family-owned, quality-driven, customer-oriented container nursery. We have five and a half acres of plant stock and have been in business since 1984. Our specialties are beautiful plants and completely satisfied customers. We send out a monthly availability list, what we call the “Looks Good List.”

We are members of the Athens Georgia Nursery Growers Association and the Georgia Green Industry Association.

Several years ago, Maggie was walking through the nursery and noticed pink flowers in our Camellia Yuletide crop. We isolated the plants and began to propagate them the following Spring. In the subsequent years the plants have held their characteristic Yuletide shape and size, but with pink flower color (five petals) and bright yellow stamens.

In 2022, we introduced Camellia Yuletide ‘Maggie’s Pink.’
